The greenhouse with shade cloth.

This shows the greenhouse with the shade cloth on. You can tell this is early in the season because the beds are not yet planted but early as it is the temperature inside the greenhouse would go dangerously high with out the shade cloth on.
In fact the fan runs non stop even with the cloth on.

Later in the season we empty the greenhouse and remove the shade cloth. temperature goes up to 120 and beyond killing insects, their eggs, mold and anything else in there.

If you look at the parallel bed just before the greenhouse you will see sunflowers which self seed each year.
The sunflowers form a shade for the greenhouse in July and August. The birds eat the seeds but they always drop enough for next years crop.
